There used to be a boy named Danny who had an awful temper. One day he got very angry at his brother and said that he didn’t like him. Later on, he realized his mistake and said ‘sorry’ to his brother.  His father saw this and gave him a pack of nails and told him that each time he lost his temper, he should pound a nail into the fence.

The next day he had hammered 12 nails into the fence. Later on, when his anger died down, his father asked him to take out the nails. Danny obeyed and took out the nails.

His father then showed him the holes the nails had left behind. “Your anger left holes in this fence. In the same way, when you say something to someone in anger, it leaves scars in their mind. And no matter how many times you apologize, they never fully heal. “

Danny realized his mistake and never lost his temper again.

Moral: Never lose your temper. You might end up hurting others.
